Who We Are

James Haughery has been around remodeling his entire life, watching his father run his own remodeling business. At a young age he found he loved the process of building and transforming things. As a teen, he began picking up jobs with carpenters, electricians and home builders. With hard work and motivation, he was able to put himself through college with these skills, and upon graduating he started his own residential remodeling company in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

During the years that he ran his remodeling company, James grew his company through a reputation of good communication, honesty and quality results. After transitioning to the D.C. market and working in the commercial construction industry for a season, James decided to return to his roots and thus, Stonewood Residential was born.

James is married to his beautiful wife, Megan, and they have six children ranging in ages from 9-22. They just finished a complete renovation of their home in North Arlington last year, and are enjoying using it to host friends and family.
